Bid/Tender Writers (employed or freelance)
Job description
Established in 2006, Intend provides professional business development advice and training. We specialise in helping our clients submit winning bids for public sector and commercial contracts. Our support includes bid management, tender/proposal writing and review, setting up tender desks and libraries, preparing for tender interviews and practical training in all aspects of the procurement process. Intend works at local, regional, national and international levels and our clients come from a wide range of business sectors.
We wish to expand our team of bid/tender writers to meet growing demand for Intend’s services in the UK/Scotland.
Key responsibilities
Support clients with various aspect of the tendering process, including:
- Bid/tender analysis, create completion plan
- Bid/tender writing
- Review and edit client’s tender content
- Assist with supporting documents (eg. company policies, CV formatting, case studies)
- Advice on using tender portals
- Create tender library content
Understanding the barriers faced by smaller businesses when bidding for public or supply chain contracts is an essential part of Intend's role so we require our team to offer hands-on tendering help and not just general advice. You will work independently but with the support of senior members of the Intend core team.
Required Knowledge/Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience bid/tender writing across various sectors
- Good working knowledge of UK/Scottish procurement procedures and portals
- Evidence of excellent writing skills for tenders and funding proposals across a range of subject areas
- Ability to communicate effectively across diverse business/market sectors and companies of all sizes
- Attention to detail
Position details
Location: you can work from home and/or at our office in Stirling (Scotland). You must have the Right to Work in the UK.
Job type: freelance or employed position; number of days per week is open for discussion and - in case of freelance position - this will vary depending on demand/match to your skills; may require some work in evenings or weekends
Fees/Salary to be agreed depending on experience/type of assignment
